We decide to call it a night, and resume travel on the 07:25 GO Goodwins route 285 to Warburton Green, Green Gate arriving 07:42 Thursday.

On the way, we pass "the greatest thing this world has ever seen" :D

Not too much to do but wait at the bus stop until we board the 0822 Go Goodwins (circular) service 285 to Ashley Heath (Arthog Road/Alan Drive) that arrives there at 0826 on Thursday morning.

Which I take to be the football stadium that is the home of Altrincham FC.

We then board the 164 operates by Arriva North West at 0954 to Market Drayton (Bus Station), arriving there at 1009 on Thursday morning.

Ashley Heath is part of Altrincham.....Market Drayton is in north Shropshire. That last posting only gives a journey time of 15 minutes to conect these two settlements....:shock:

I have contacted TfGM who say that no bus service links these two settlements.

I may be thinking of another Ashley.

I'll delete said post shortly :)

PS: 15 minutes too from 0954 to 1009, not 13 ;)

So to clarify, we are at Ashley Heath (near Altrincham), having just alighted off the 0822 Go Goodwins (circular) service 285 that arrived there at 0826 on Thursday morning.

As travel connections out of Denshaw are limited, we jump back on the 1847 number 407 operated by Stotts of Oldham to Oldham Mumps station, arriving there at 1910 on Thursday evening.

The query could be on the matter of the same service run or the timetabled service in a reverse direction when a terminal stop has been used.
The previous move was on a timetabled service that terminated so it would not be against the rules to board another service on the same route. In this case though you would not be allowed to board the next 407 as it departs less than 5 minutes after you arrived and the rules require a minimum of 5 minutes interchange time.

That last posting has contravened the highlighted section of the rules extract above as I understand the reading of them.

I was thinking this, but officially it's a new timetabled service. Plus in the case of Denshaw, as far as I can see there's no alternative method out!

We next board the 1612 First Pioneer service 350 to Uppermill (High Street/Commercial Hotel) that arrives there at 1645 on Thursday afternoon.
See above, the previous move is not valid as the minimum of five minutes interchange time was not left.

Void move as five minutes between moves is required. I know you could in theory just jump back on the same bus but I'd like to keep the rules consistent and it also prevents people just doing the reverse of a previous journey when in some cases other options would be available. As per the rules you have 1 hour to submit a new move, if not then then it's open floor from Denshaw.

As we've missed the last bus out of Denshaw that evening, we trawl a few pubs and try to find somewhere to kip.

Waking up on a park bench to a misty day, we jump on the 06:36 from Denshaw, Dumfries Avenue to Oldham Bus Station, arriving there at 06:59 on Friday morning

Hopefully the above gets us out of the impasse we have at the moment as I think the hour is up for posting of a new move.

The hour started from the time the post was declared void, not from the time of the original post so it becomes open floor at 12:20 if Dan hasn't posted by then so at this time it's still up to Dan to post the next move from Denshaw.
