I'm not from Manchester, but I know Manchester very well. I think it's a fantastic city!

I went from Market Street to Stretford on the Metrolink last year and then did the shuttle to the Trafford.

I also have a friend who lives near Firswood too.

Anyway, continuing from Paul's post, we then catch the 1218 Arriva North West route X30 service to Frodsham (Bears Paw), arriving there at 1254 on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, there are no other bus services serving Daresbury on a Saturday, as far as I can see; I may be wrong though; please feel free to correct me if there is. There is a 200 bus, but that only runs Monday to Friday. I hope my move is valid.

Nothing wrong with getting on a later service on the same route as you are not getting back on the same service you just left. It also seems that the X30 was indeed the only option here.

Almost midnight as we arrive, we are heartened to find that a large railway station such as York still has services in the hours of the night, so after a break, we board the 0229 First TPE service to Manchester Airport that arrives there at 0423 on Sunday morning.
