Once again, please can all members remember to state the quiz day in their postings...

We stroll to the village centre to look at what the shops have to offer then stroll back again to the bus stop near to the railway station where we board the 1523 Stagecoach Manchester service 378 to Handforth (Paddock Shopping Precinct on Wilmslow Road) that arrives there at 1538 on Monday afternoon

incidentally, can someone have a look at the route map for this and make sure I'm not cracking up when I think I see the bus connection symbol on the train tracks at Woodley and Romiley?

That symbol could mean there is a connectional point.

The time for that service at Greave is 18:28 btw. and with regards the odd bus symbols, its not even consistent within the timetable, with Bredbury getting the correct double-arrow symbol.

anyway, we take the 19:28 Stagecoach Manchester route 330 to Stockport, Peel Centre, arriving at 19:34 Monday

We then get the 1948 bus on the same service and travel to Ashton under Lyne bus station, arriving 2024 Monday evening

I'm puzzled by some of the times in the last few moves as well - they seem to be a few minutes out (or the stop not quite the same) from what I'm finding - not critically so, but still puzzling

Because there were "time queries" raised yesterday, I have taken the liberty of ringing TfGM who confirm that the last mentioned 2245 is the last arrival at Windmill Lane at Dane Bank. There is still an onward mode of bus travel, which the rules of the quiz will allow in this specific circumstance...ALL TIMES IN THE FOLLOWING HAVE BEEN GIVEN BY TfGM AND ARE NOT OF MY MAKING, SHOULD ANY QUERY ARISE

We take the five minute walk from Windmill Lane to Manchester Road/Hulme Road and are in time to board the 2304 Stagecoach Manchester service 204 to Manchester (Piccadilly Gardens) that arrives there at 2326 on Monday evening.

Being found to be in Benchill in the last few minutes before midnight, when it was the last bus from Manchester that brought you there may be very useful for the local residents with a warm home to spend the night, but for inveterate travellers such as us, it seems to be a judgement from "Paradise Lost" as no such comforts await us, so we stay at the same bus stop having spoken to a member of the local constabulary to assure him we are not up to no good and over three hours then elapse, before we are joined at the bus stop by workers at Manchester Airport starting an early shift and we all board the 0336 Stagecoach Manchester service 105 to Manchester Airport bus station that arrives there at 0353 on Wednesday morning.
