We next board the 0525 Arriva London service 19 to Chelsea (Old Town Hall on Kings Road) that arrives there at 0609 on Monday.
There was an earlier departure on the N19, but it was literally ten minutes earlier. :D

We next take the 06.18 Go Ahead London service 11 to Waterloo Station, Upper Taxi Road arriving at 06.40 on Monday.
Having enjoyed our run around the capital, we enter the station and board the 0703 South Western Railway service 1B87 to Pokesdown, arriving there at 0906 on Monday.

As a former resident of Trowbridge, buses start to dwindle down here for the evening, so we take the ten minute/0.5 mile walk to the station and board the 2158 Great Western Railway service 1F33 to Fratton, arriving there at 2345 on Monday.

Far too early for the 27 so we remain with the rails here, so we wait for the 0544 South Western Railway service 2P14 to Farncombe, arriving there at 0635 on Tuesday.

After watching a couple of 444s and 450s thud out of the high-level platforms at Portsmouth & Southsea (one of my favourite things to do, especially a 12 car 450), we exit the station and cross over to the City Shops South stop, for the 0821 Stagecoach South service 21 to Anchorage Park (Morrisons), arriving there at 0847 on Tuesday.

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
However, the nearest bus is over 1.5 miles away so our only option is to turn round and head west on the next Hayling Ferry ferry back to Eastney Ferry Landing
QUERY RAISED

The comment above was made quite some time ago by a thread contributor and this Hayling Island region is one that I have no personal knowledge of.

Is the comment still valid regarding the distance to the bus services that now run in 2024?

Looks that way unfortunately! I don't remember that conversation from before, but yes, does seem a shame that the 30/31 still don't serve the ferry landing at Hayling Island, where I've holidayed many a time but not for a long time!

To continue the game we have two options. We either take the 11.50 Hayling Ferry service back to Eastney Ferry Landing arriving at 12.05 or we bend the rules and take the half hour walk to the nearest bus stop at Staunton Avenue for the 12.12 Stagecoach South service 31 to Havant Bus Station arriving at 12.40 on Tuesday.. The choice is yours.

Well we won't be able to do the latter because it's over the permitted 0.5 mile boundary however we could in theory maybe make our way towards Havant via Portsmouth for us to visit Hayling Island? I'll leave that with others but for now, let's do a legal move.

From Eastney Ferry Landing, we take the 1250 Stagecoach South service 25 to Portsmouth (Hard Interchange), arriving there at 1328 on Tuesday.
