Leaving the station, we next board the 0105 Stagecoach London service N26 to Hackney Wick (Lee Conservancy Road/Poplar Close), arriving there at 0140 on Monday.
There was an earlier departure on the N19, but it was literally ten minutes earlier. We next board the 0525 Arriva London service 19 to Chelsea (Old Town Hall on Kings Road) that arrives there at 0609 on Monday.
Having enjoyed our run around the capital, we enter the station and board the 0703 South Western Railway service 1B87 to Pokesdown, arriving there at 0906 on Monday. We next take the 06.18 Go Ahead London service 11 to Waterloo Station, Upper Taxi Road arriving at 06.40 on Monday.
QUERY RAISEDHowever, the nearest bus is over 1.5 miles away so our only option is to turn round and head west on the next Hayling Ferry ferry back to Eastney Ferry Landing
Looks that way unfortunately! I don't remember that conversation from before, but yes, does seem a shame that the 30/31 still don't serve the ferry landing at Hayling Island, where I've holidayed many a time but not for a long time!QUERY RAISED
The comment above was made quite some time ago by a thread contributor and this Hayling Island region is one that I have no personal knowledge of.
Is the comment still valid regarding the distance to the bus services that now run in 2024?
Well we won't be able to do the latter because it's over the permitted 0.5 mile boundary however we could in theory maybe make our way towards Havant via Portsmouth for us to visit Hayling Island? I'll leave that with others but for now, let's do a legal move.To continue the game we have two options. We either take the 11.50 Hayling Ferry service back to Eastney Ferry Landing arriving at 12.05 or we bend the rules and take the half hour walk to the nearest bus stop at Staunton Avenue for the 12.12 Stagecoach South service 31 to Havant Bus Station arriving at 12.40 on Tuesday.. The choice is yours.
