Resisting the temptation to head to Vectis, we head to the station pier where we board the Gosport Ferry at 1007. We alight at Gosport Ferry Terminal at 1014 on Wednesday.

We exit the ferry terminal and head into the adjacent bus station, where we board the 1047 First Portsmouth, Fareham & Gosport Solent Ranger service X5 to Lee-on-the-Solent (Marine Parade East/West Point), arriving there at 1116 on Wednesday morning.

Taking advantage of the overnight dispensation we depart on 1U00, West Midlands Trains' 0556 departure towards London. We stay only for a short hop, alighting at Atherstone at 0604 on Friday.
