It’s been a while since I’ve taken part in this!
You've not missed out much, just the usual shenanigans around Hampshire, Sussex and Kent
We then take the 22:30 TfW service to Cardiff Central, arriving there at 23:45 on Wednesday night
In the morning, we exit the station and take the five minute walk to Customhouse Street, where we board the 0527 Cardiff Bus service 58 to Pontprennau (Hollington Drive), arriving there at 0557 on Thursday morning.

We cross the road to the Baltimore Close stop to catch the 06:14 NAT service to Cardiff, opposite Queen Street station, arriving there at 06:42 on Thursday morning

(edited slightly because I didn’t realise this service stops across the road and I made us walk unnecessarily. The service itself hasn’t changed)

Annoyingly, that doesn't connect with train towards Barry and Cardiff which left precisely one minute earlier, so instead we board the 1230 Adventure Travel service 321 to Talbot Green (Bus Station), arriving there at 1309 on Thursday afternoon.

This appears to be a public transport dead end with everything heading back towards Cardiff so we take the 17.56 TfW service to Merthyr Tydfil arriving at 19.31 on Thursday.

With little in the way of onward connection at this time of day and wishing to get away from the valleys we take the 21.24 TfW service to Penarth alighting at Cardiff Central at 21.55 on Thursday

Unfortunately this appears to be a dead end with a very long wait for any other routes so we take the 08.37 First Worcestershire service 35 to Worcester Bus Station arriving at 09.04 on Friday.
