The A4 doesn't go to Bristol bus station. It goes from Bristol Airport to Bath.
We next take the 23.05 First WoE service X1 to Weston super Mare, Marine Parade arriving at 00.09 on Thursday.

To be fair, we could have just got the 39 from Bristol to Bath instead, but not to worry.

OK, so I read the entry of Gatwick Airport followed by Bristol Bus Station as "Bristol Airport", and read the 200 as the 216... lol
Double checking that we actually are where I think we are (!) we depart at 0558 on Stagecoach West service 505. We alight at The Downs (Black Boy Hill (Top), stop B) at 0616 on Thursday.

We walk ( 8 min / 0.4 mile) to Muller Rd Top, stop C where we await Transpora Bus service 25 at 1315. We alight at Broadmead, Haymarket (B10) at 1342 on Thursday.
We have deliberately taken the long way round to get here in order to experience Transpora's 25. This route is amended from next month, no longer serving the west end of Muller Rd, being rerouted and extended to terminate at Fishponds instead of Horfield/Southmead Hospital. it is also doubling in frequency M-F, and gaining a Saturday service.

With absolutely zero other choice here, since First crazily withdrew the 126 to Weston last year, we have no option other than to return on the 1628 Libra Travel service 126 to Wells (Bus Station), arriving there at 1705 on Thursday afternoon.

Not a great deal of choice here as both railway stations are too far away, and buses start to dwindle off the evening, but we can thankfully board the 2105 Berry's Coaches Superfast 2 service to Taunton (Kings Arms), arriving there at 2155 on Thursday evening.
