Defeated by Lands End, we decide to try out on of the new minibuses on Cornwall by Kernow's "The Mousehole", so depart on that route at 2115. We alight at Mousehole, Harbour at 2133 on Friday.

We next take the 21.30 First Kernow service U4 to Falmouth, The Moor arriving at 23.05 on Friday.

With this being a dead end we take the 22.19 First Kernow service MOUS back to Penzance Bus Station arriving at 22.40 on Friday.

Our only remaining feasible option of the night is to board Cornwall by Kernow service U4 at 2330, alighting at Helston, Seven Stars at 0022 on Saturday morning.

Time for an overnight break in what was one of my old stamping grounds. We then take the 07.30 First Kernow service U4 to Falmouth, The Moor arriving at 08.20 on Saturday.

Here in the centre of town we are too far from any of Falmouth's railway stations so we decide to avail outselves of the local ferry. We head to the Prince of Wales Pier Ferry Landing (4 minutes) and board the Flushing to Falmouth Ferry at 0840. We alight at Flushing, Falmouth Ferry Landing at 0845 on Saturday.

Disappointed that we missed out on an open top bus ride in Falmouth, but not wanting to repeat the steps we've just made, we decide to return to Falmouth on the 0910 OTS service 69, and get back to Falmouth The Moor at 0935 on Saturday morning.

We next take the 10.30 OTS service 35A which goes the back way via Gweek and RNAS Culdrose to Helston, Blue Anchor arriving at 11.36 on Saturday.

Thinking we may have exhausted the Cornish scene for a bit we walk (7 min / 0.3 mile) to the railway station where we board 1A88, GWR's 1239 service towards London. We alight at Taunton at 1542 on Saturday.

Fancying another open top ride, we board the Stagecoach South West service 21c at 1500 to Croyde Bay, alighting at 1542 on Sunday. Its sunny and the breeze is beautifully relaxing! The bus is packed out as it is mid summer
