Was going to say we could actually travel an hour earlier on the X28 bus from outside Bathgate station, as the first service is at 0441, but not to worry!

Bidding a fond farewell to the land of the kilts, bagpipes, whiskey and shortbread, we next board the 0657 Avanti West Coast service 9M50 to Coventry, arriving there at 1144 on Wednesday morning.

We exit the station and take the ten minute/0.5 mile walk to WestQuay, where we board the 1507 First Portsmouth, Fareham & Gosport Solent Ranger service X5 to Lee-on-the-Solent (Post Office), arriving there at 1637 on Wednesday afternoon.

Not much choice here so we will continue on the 17.17 First Portsmouth etc. service X5 to Gosport Bus Station arriving at 17.44 on Wednesday.

Well that's us buggered for the rest of the day as there are no more services now (although that service must run empty back to Fareham?), and still seemingly stuck between Fareham and Gosport, we return in the morning for the 0702 First service 9A to Gosport (Bus Station), arriving there at 0719 on Thursday morning.
