Thanks for that advice. As my usual source of bus timetable information, bustimes.org, seems to avoid the London area, it behoves me only to make postings with trains rather than buses there.

We next board the 0820 London United service 266 to Acton (Old Town Hall/Salisbury Street), arriving there at 0911 on Saturday morning.

An 8 minute walk (0.4 mile) takes us to Acton Central station, where we board London Overground service 2N14 at 0929.
We take it just one stop to Willesden Junction, where we alight at 0935 on Saturday.

Stagecoach West 2 is our only option this "late" (!!) on a Saturday, so we let it head to Upton St Leonards and back, and cross the road to board the same vehicle at 1949. We alight in due course at Gloucester (Clarence St, set down) at 2005 on Saturday, as there is nowhere else useful we can really take it!
