Interesting stop, at the end of a double run, so we await the 1602 from the same stop, and alight at Hungerford (adj Church Way Foot, on Salisbury Rd) at 1609 on Wednesday.

Surprised to have left Cornwall so quickly.
There wasn't much we could have done at 0150 in Penzance of all places

We take the two minute walk to the Atherton Crescent bus stop, where we board the 1646 Newbury & District service 3 to Newbury (Newbury Wharf), arriving there at 1740 on Wednesday afternoon.

All we can do here, other than return straight back to Newbury, is take the 11 minute/0.5 mile walk back to Newbury Racecourse station and board the 1849 Great Western Railway service 2K49 to Reading West, arriving there at 1911 on Wednesday evening.

We exit the station, walk to the bus stop outside, and wait for 0758 Stagecoach South East service 304. We stay on board for the rest of the route, disembarking at 0910 to Hawkhurst British Legion Hall (Stand D) on Thursday.

Google Maps seems to have an outdated timetable compared to bustimes.org and the Stagecoach website, so does not have this bus.

Our only option is to remain with this half of the 700, so we walk 9 minutes (0.5 mile) to the North Ham Road stop where we board the 2028 Stagecoach South service 700 (which is probably the vehicle we've just alighted from, after it has been round the loop).
We alight at Rustington (Shops) at 2043 on Thursday.

Having almost inadvertently returned back to Rustington shops, we can still continue here at Angmering as we board the 2352 Southern service 2S95 to Hove, arriving there at 0026 in the early hours of Friday morning.

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
Not wishing to leave the station at this unearthly time of the night to seek any alternative mode of transport (as allowed by the rules) and using the overnight travel relaxation rule in order to rest (especially the one in the group who earlier suffered from a "numb bum" after an earlier long bus ride), we relax and await the first available train service, boarding the 0505 Southern service to Portsmouth & Southsea that arrives there at 0619 on Friday morning.

With Portsmouth being somewhere we've frequented too fairly recently, we next board the 0626 South Western Railway service 1T20 to Micheldever, arriving there at 0730 on Friday morning.
