We next board the 1158 Stagecoach Oxfordshire service S2 to Lower Dowdeswell (the bus stop near the Resevoir Inn on Oxford Road) that arrives there at 1240 on Monday afternoon.
Just to double check - are we going off Bank Holiday timetables today which would be a Sunday service? Or a standard Monday service? Reason I ask is because that's a Sunday service quoted above.

I can only but hope that the timetable information that I obtained was correct in its day basis.

Today we are going as a normal Monday service which was the case in both this relaunched quiz and the original quiz. Has it not always been the case that Bank Holiday days such as Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years day have always used the standard day of the week on which these Bank Holidays fall, as both you and I who participated on both versions of this quiz will be so aware.

I'd agree it should be a standard Monday. After all it's only by coincidence that the "game day" is Monday along with the "real life" day.

Ah great, in that case then, that service departs at 1153 and arrives at 1235 :)

From there, we board the 1435 Stagecoach Oxfordshire service S2 to Cheltenham (Sydenham Villas Road), arriving there at 1445 on Monday afternoon.

That is in fact service 2 not 2A, but only a minor correction :)

We allow the 75A to Shipston-on-Stour to go past as we'll only end up there for the evening, so we stop off for the night and return in the morning for the 0655 Stagecoach Midlands service 2A to Stratford-upon-Avon (McDonalds), arriving there at 0714 on Tuesday morning.

We are a little bit limited here as the bus station and both railway stations are too far away to walk!
So, we can afford to stroll the 0.2 mile (technically a 6 minute walk) to the southbound Cathedral stop on College St, where we board Astons Coaches service 332 at 1101.
We alight at Upton upon Severn (New St) at 1142 on Tuesday.
