We leave the railway station and take the short walk to stop F on Station Approach where we board the 1241 Stagecoach South service 71 to Peasmarch (the bus stop opposite Tithams Green on Old Portsmouth Road) that arrives there at 1344 on Sunday afternoon.

It seems that on a Sunday Peasmarsh only has the 71, so we cross the road to the southbound stop where at 1416 we take Stagecoach South service 71 to Godalming Square stop A, arriving at 1422 on Sunday.

We next board the 1059 South Western Railway service to Liss that arrives there at 1136 on Sunday morning.

Sorry Paul, having done some research it appears that this 1059 service is a variation to the regular timetable. Services from Portsmouth & Southsea towards Liss on a Sunday depart at 52 minutes past the hour on the standard working timetable. However, if we wait at PMS for the 11:52 service (having arrived at 10:52 off the Southern from Gatwick), that is the same train as @-Colly405- has played from Liss to Haslemere (12:29), arriving at 12:42. We can therefore essentially merge two moves into one and avoid that 53 minute wait at Liss

So in short, we should be as follows:

1152 Portsmouth & Southsea to Haslemere on SWR (arriving 12:29).
1241 Haslemere to Peasmarch on the 71 (arriving 13:44).
1416 Peasmarch to Godalming on the 71 (arriving 14:22).

Because of my lack of normal timetable knowledge, I have tended to use the BR Times website as my source of rail travel on this particular quiz and that appears to be a cause of disquiet. Four postings have been made on the quiz since that Hounslow posting was made.

Would contributors be happier if I were only to make bus, coach and ferry postings on this quiz in future.

For what it is worth, I tend to use Real Time Trains, and find a relevant date that has generally only WTT times. I do use BR Times for minimum connection times as it seems the quickest to return the information. Another site I use if there looks to be a lot of engineering work, or if we are on a Saturday night, for example, is the Network Rail timetable PDFs https://www.networkrail.co.uk/running-the-railway/the-timetable/electronic-national-rail-timetable/ specifically Supporting Index Documents - NRT Dec 2022 Station Index to find out which tables a station is on, then an educated guess as to which of the Route Timetables sections that table is in.

I don't see a need for you to stop posting rail posts, Paul.
