I will only be participating infrequently in future and then only on train-based postings, as bus, ferry and tram postings used to catch me out, causing the thread to be disrupted.

Some years ago, I was more adventurous (and more precise with my postings), but as a certain long-term regular on here would be aware, that was in the good old days of "Lybster Omnibus Syndrome" and "Bristol, Bath and the Back of Beyond"...

Agree, good to see you Paul. I too am put off by bus moves in unfamiliar places, so tend to be more of an observer these days.

We go to stance C and there board the 2334 First West of England Citylines service 73 to Montpelier (Nine Tree Hill) that arrives there at 0018 on Thursday morning.

We walk for 6 minutes (0.3 mile) To Montpelier railway station and wait a few hours until the morning and catch the 0520 Great Western Railway service to Severn Beach arriving there at 0548 on Thursday morning.
