Yorton has just the one bus route, the last journey of which passed three and a half hours ago. So, as it is slightly too early to decamp for the night we take the 2326 Transport for Wales service back towards Chester, remembering to let the guard know that we want to alight at Prees at 2336 on Tuesday.

On a Wednesday, Wem has the same bus service as Yorton and Prees, which runs only between Whitchurch and Shrewsbury. So, to get out of this rather sparsely populated part of the Marches, we next board 1V31, Transport for Wales' 0518 service towards Milford Haven. We alight at Ludlow at 0601 on Wednesday.
