Thankfully we've finally found a station where we can leave the Tarka line behind, so we walk the short distance to the main road to board the 21:08 Stagecoach South West service 5 to Cowley, opposite Chapel, arriving at 21:20 Sunday evening.

We then board the 2220 Stagecoach South West service 5 to Exeter (Portland House), arriving there at 2232 on Sunday evening.

We take the 9 minute, 0.4 mile walk to Exeter Central and catch the 2254 Great Western Railway service to Digby & Sowton arriving there at 2303 on Sunday.

From the bus stop outside the station we board the 2327 Stagecoach South West service D to Digby (Tesco Petrol Station), arriving there at 2333 on Sunday evening.

We take the 11 minute 0.5 mile walk back to Digby & Sowton station to catch the 0018 Great Western Railway service to Polsoe Bridge arriving at 0021 in the early hours of Monday morning.

That appears to be it for the rest of the night now, so in the morning we return to the bus stop outside the station at the end of Widgery Road, and board the 0531 Stagecoach South West service K to Countess Weir (Wear Barton Road), arriving there at 0552 on Monday morning.

From lakeside avenue around the corner we now board the 07:08 Stagecoach South West service I to Digby Ikea, arriving at 07:13 Monday morning.

We take the nine minute walk back to the Tesco Petrol Station and board the 0725 Stagecoach South West service H to St Leonards (Mount Radford), arriving there at 0748 on Monday morning.

Here we walk the 6 minutes to Waitrose, where we board the 08:12 Stagecoach South West service 4 to Cranbrook Younghayes Centre, arriving at 08:32 Monday morning.

We take the eight minute walk to the railway station and leave the south west behind, as we board the 0936 South Western Railway service 1L36 to Clapham Junction, arriving there at 1236 on Monday afternoon.

From the bus stops outside the station we board the 1310 Arriva London service 38 to Clapton, Pond (Lower Clapton Road/Lea Bridge Roundabout), arriving there at 1430 on Monday afternoon.

We take the short walk to the Upper Clapton Road bus stop to take the 1440 Tower Transit service 308 to Stratford International (Stop F) arriving at 1503 on Monday.

Ooh I was spoilt for choice then, didn't know whether to go for the DLR, the 97/108 bus or Javelin!

Let's go for the Javelin, as we board the 1519 Southeastern service 1J42 to Dover Priory, arriving there at 1628 on Monday afternoon.

We will then take the 1642 South Eastern service to take the opportunity to go to Sandwich arriving at 1706 on Monday.

We take the nine minute walk to the bus stop on the corner of New Dover Road and St Augustine's Road, where we board the 1816 Stagecoach South East Gold service 16 to Folkestone (Bus Station), arriving there at 1903 on Monday evening.

We now have the opportunity to make the move I tried to make from Dover but was beaten to it, so we board the 19:58 Stagecoach in East Kent service 102 'The Wave' to Dungeness, adj Power Station, arriving at 21:06 Monday evening.

The landscape here has to be one of the most bizarre and otherworldy in the country!

It does look delightful around here. My best friend is from Chatham which admittedly is a Medway town but she says south east Kent is a joy!

Annoyingly, there is nothing west except for the 11 which runs three times a day, and we can only head north on the 102 which only runs two-hourly, so we'll have to wait for the 1142 Stagecoach South East The Wave service 102 to Folkestone (The Cube), arriving there at 1300 on Tuesday afternoon.
