I'd say that check-in times count as part of interchange times, therefore one is allowed to ignore said times because it is operated by the same craft.

However, I'll edit my post so as not to hold stuff up any longer.

Maybe I took it a bit seriously! We can go with the first if you wish?

We board the 10:00 Caledonian MacBrayne route CM11 service to Craignure, Mull Ferry Terminal, arriving there at 10:46 on a Friday.

There are buses from here this time!

We board the 10:50* West Coast Motors service 496 to Fionnphort (Post Office) where we arrive at 12:00 on Friday afternoon.

* Since this bus is clearly intended to connect with the ferry, a dispensation on the 5 minute standard connection time is assumed!

I'm not quite sure what our decision was on the ferry situation...

My tendency to become very ill as I travel on boats comes to my foremost attention as re-board the 1230 Caledonian MacBrayne ferry service CM13 to Fionnphort Mull Ferry Terminal, arriving at 1240 on Friday afternoon.

The obvious move here is to walk into the station and cross our fingers for the reliability of the 2340 Caledonian Sleeper service to Watford Junction arriving at 0643 on Saturday morning.
