We have only a few minutes to wait for the 11:02 Cardiff Bus service X45 to St Mellons (Police Station) where we arrive at 11:59 on Tuesday morning.

We cross the road and board the 1210 New Adventure Travel service 5 to Ringland (Ringland Circle, before the Community Centre) that arrives there at 1303 on Tuesday afternoon.

For a grammatical clarification, did you mean in front of the Community Centre rather than before? Or did you mean the stop preceding the railway station?

In this instance, the blame lies with the website information that I used, which actually stated "before the Community Centre".

This is one where our resident expert from Wales, @DanTrainMan185 could throw light on the matter.

There is a stop in front of the Community Centre, so using that:

We walk across the road to the Celtic Manor resort, have lunch, play a round of golf and emerge at 18:30 for dinner... or...

We wait for 30 minutes for the X5 bus, alighting at Royal Hotel, Cardiff at 15:11 on Tuesday.

Must admit I'm not hugely knowledgeable on the Newport area. Also, Ringland is an area to avoid

From the royal hotel, we head towards the Vale of Glamorgan as we cross the road and board the 1520 Cardiff Bus service 96 to Barry (King Square), arriving there at 1628 on Tuesday afternoon.

From Pentre-Bach, we wait for the train to come back, taking the 17:12 to Cardiff Central arriving on Tuesday evening at 18:10 Struck through as the route was based on another struck-through post.

We decide on a change of transport mode, so we enter Barry Island railway station and board the 1656 Transport for Wales service to Pentre-Bach that arrives there at 1824 on Tuesday evening.

King Square and Barry Island are a mile and a half apart, so that move is definitely out I'm afraid.

Just goes to show that Traveline Wales are not averse to "telling porkies"....

I will strike-through my posting that was based on their falsehoods and feel if we had been playing Monopoly, I would be told....

Not to worry. Would you like to make an alternative move?

Fed up with my seemingly sudden attack of total and utter ineptitude, I decided to ring Cardiff Bus for onward information, so if anyone finds fault with the posting below, you know who is to blame.....

We next board the 1635 Cardiff Bus service 96 to Culverhouse Cross (B & Q) that arrives there at 1708 on Tuesday evening.

After two recent occurrences which have caused disruption to this thread, it behoves me to take a short sabbatical away from the thread.
