Unfortunately there are no other services running on Sunday here, and to avoid a wait of more than two hours we re-board the same bus at 09:25 to return to Pwllheli (Ysbyty) where we arrive at 09:54 on Sunday morning.

There’s no Sunday bus service here, so we switch platforms and take the 1434 Transport for Wales service 2G28 to Newtown (Powys), arriving at 1640 on Sunday afternoon.

Well, as far as I can see that was the last bus to or from Brecon on a Sunday and we have missed the last train by more than fifty years, so we take an early bath and in the morning walk the 300 yards to Brecon Interchange where we board the 06:55 New Adventure Travel service T6 to Abercrave (Inn) where we arrive at 07:37 on Monday morning.

(On the way we thought we would be able to see some of the Brecon Beacons, but unfortunately it was pouring with rain and with cloud base at about 150 feet!)

We are just too far away from the railway station, however we are just in walking distance to the bus station where we catch the 1710 First South & West Wales Cymru Clipper service X1 to Laleston (Mackworth Arms), arriving there at 1739 on Monday afternoon.

We are just within half a mile from the bus station, so we head there and board the 1945 Stagecoach South Wales service X4 to Cathays (High School), arriving there at 2154 on Monday evening.

We then walk round the corner to Priest Road to take the 49 bus to Royal Hotel, and walk into the neighbouring Cardiff Central railway station, arriving around 00:16 on Tuesday morning.

The additional walk to the station doesn't count, so I'll go from the Royal Hotel.

We retire for the evening and return in the morning for the 0541 Cardiff Bus service 61 to Fairwater (The Fairwater/Fairwater Green), arriving there at 0556 on Tuesday morning.

We barely stay in the 0.5 mile walk rule with our 11 minute walk to Waun-gron Park Station where we board the 0811 Transport for Wales service to Heath Low Level, arriving at 0830 on Tuesday morning.

Rather interestingly, a ticket can be bought for Heath High Level to Low Level. The stations are about 100 yards away from each other.

I can't seem to purchase a ticket for this journey?

You'd be lucky, that journey is booked for a single 153 which regularly leaves full and standing!

We take the four minute walk to the bus stop on Heath Park Avenue, where we board the 0903 Stagecoach South Wales service 86 to Llanishen (Church Inn), arriving there at 0917 on Tuesday morning.

Sorry, it showed a journey plan on National Rail Enquiries, but you cannot purchase a ticket.

We walk to the adjacent Church stop and wait for the 0946 Cardiff Bus service 28 to Roath (West Grove 4), arriving at 1014 on Tuesday morning.
