We then take the 5 minute walk to the railway station, where we board the 09:38 Transport for Wales service to Radyr arriving there at 10:23 on a Saturday.

We walk 9 mins to aberdare station where we board the 17:52 Transport for wales service to Barry island, arriving at 19:25, after the fish and chip shops have closed.

From outside the station we now board the 20:03 Cardiff Bus service 95 to Dinas Powys, opp Station, arriving at 20:33 Saturday evening.

There is one final very late journey available in the reverse direction, so we board the 2346 New Adventure Travel service 303 to Font-y-Gary ( Fontygary Road before Wharton Close) that arrives at 0048 on Sunday morning.

Finding ourselves only 0.4 miles from where I dropped us two posts ago, we decide to take that walk back to the Pelican Inn for a brief refreshment (not quite time for brunch unfortunately), before we board the 11:15 New Adventure Travel service 303 to Tredogan, opp Holiday Inn Express, arriving at 12:24 Sunday afternoon.

We exit the station and take the four minute walk to the bus stop opposite Carrill Grove, where we board the 1945 Stagecoach Manchester service 192 to Manchester (Paton Street), arriving there at 2000 on Sunday evening.

We take the three minute walk to Stop D in Piccadilly Gardens and there board the 2010 Stagecoach Manchester service 216 to Ashton-under-Lyne (Gas Street Swimming Pool) that arrives there at 2039 on Sunday evening.

From the bus station a couple of minutes walk up the road we now board the 20:51 Manchester Community Transport service 237 to Tintwistle, adj Matthew Close, arriving at 21:15 Sunday evening.

If we're really lucky we might even avoid the eternal Mottram/Tintwistle traffic jam at this time on a Sunday!
