The service 383 is a Stockport-Offerton-Marple-Compstall-Romiley-Stockport circular route and goes nowhere near to New Mills.

Think he meant the 358.

Heading back to the built up areas, we stop off overnight and return for the 0400 High Peak 'Skyline' service 199 to Stepping Hill (The Crown), arriving there at 0418 on Tuesday morning.

That journey of the 358 bus was said to arrive at New Mills bus station which is at the top of the town and nowhere near the Buxton Road route in the New Mills Newtown area traversed by the 199 bus service.

The 358 serves New Mills bus station. A select few morning journeys on the 199 serve New Mills bus station. The 0610 service from Buxton is the first one to not serve the bus station.

You learn something new every day on this website!!!

In fairness to you Paul, it was new to me as well. I didn't realise the early morning services on the 199 served different locations in New Mills.

We walk 11mins to woodsmore station where we wait until 8:08 to board the northern service to Buxton arriving at 8:48 on Tuesday.

We then take the seven minute walk to Market Place, where we board the 1000 High Peak service 61 to Glossop (Henry Street), arriving there at 1056 on Tuesday morning.
