Having had some fun looking at the village of Hope, Flintshire (not the one in England), we board the next train, which is the 11:21 Arriva Trains Wales service to Bidston, arriving there at 12:06 on a Sunday.

It appears that the first time a train was used to travel to Flixton railway station and the second time a bus was used to travel to Town Gate in Flixton.

Are those two parts of Flixton near to each other?
Not far, and it's odd to return to the settlement you've just come from, we've been doing that a lot lately.

--------------------------------------------------

We now walk 0.4 miles (7 mins) to Piccadilly, where we board the 18:26 TransPennine Express service 1S83 to Lockerbie, arriving at 20:32 Sunday evening.

Gameplay

The Aim of the game is to travel around the country using public transport in a pseudo-realistic fashion.

I think we can quite easily invoke this part of the gameplay. It is not realistic to go blasting all the way to Manchester from Wales, only to return there straight away. Neither is it realistic to go from Flixton to another place and directly back to Flixton. In situations such as these, I think it is perfectly reasonable to point out the above section of text, and continue play from a previous post.

Unlike in previous versions of this game, we do not have any one appointed person(s) who have a role to police the rules of the game, instead we leave this down to community judgement.

It comes down to the community to point out any rule breaches, however this shouldn't hold up game play and it may not be necessary to return to the previous post, especially where there has been more than five moves (or 24 hours has elapsed) since the posting in question.

Good to see that we are able to make sensible decisions between "the community" and to highlight points where certain "to and fro" postings cause annoyance.

Well, it seems to change it's number, so I'd say so, yes.

Fair enough.

Seeing as that move from Queen Street to Haymarket was invalid, we stay overnight near Central and return for the 0422 TransPennine Express service 1M90 to Preston, arriving there at 0745 on Monday morning.

Can I respond to this by citing the onward posting that I made using service 1 above to take us onwards from Grimsargh to Longridge, in the knowledge that Preston Bus run their service 35 from Longridge to Blackburn bus station, via Ribchester, Salesbury and Wilpshire, was supposed to be a way of avoiding a third consecutive journey on the very same number 1 bus back to the Preston area. I only now post infrequently upon this thread, but when I do so, I try to adhere to the spirit of the thread.
