Following on from backontrack's post (posting #15464), and by no means am I targeting you in particular, but can I just take this opportunity to draw everybody's attention to the rule above, as helpfully quoted by TP, as I feel this is constantly being overlooked on here.
I do not agree with the sentiment that we should wait for almost two hours at a destination because, as quoted by another fellow member on here a few months back, 'the next service to X isn't for almost two hours after' or 'well the next service to Y isn't until this time'. I know for a fact that this has happened at major stations such as Euston, Edinburgh and Glasgow. There are HUNDREDS of destinations we can go to from all three of these stations, and in all three of the above instances by various different transport modes; spread your wings and use a little more creativity/geography!
For example at Highbury & Islington, you did state we are permitted two hours but just because the service you quoted was the next available service to Stevenage doesn't mean we have to wait that long, pick elsewhere! Highbury & Islington has a very vast London Overground, Underground and bus service. Having said that, that particular example wasn't too bad as it was only an hour's wait, but somebody, not saying it was you, once waited for something ridiculous like 1 hour and 47 minutes at somewhere like Euston just because the next direct service to a particular destination wasn't until this time. Well I'm sorry but I don't agree with that at all and see that as an infringement of the rule quoted by TP.
I do think the rules should be updated by the quizmasters to incorporate this. I'd like this kept here so everyone understands but if anyone does agree/disagree/wish to add further comment's, please feel free to private message me
From Watlington, we then board the 1851 Great Northern service 1T57 to Cambridge, arriving there at 1936 on Wednesday evening, where in that time there are services not long after to destinations such as Harwich International, Birmingham New Street, London Liverpool Street, Ely and Stansted Airport, as well as various different bus services that stop directly outside the station operated by Stagecoach.

I believe it was to Glasgow (via the Trent Valley), when there was an earlier service via Birmingham as well
We see our opportunity to get a 1 train per day service, the 19:47 Greater Anglia service 2A48 to Harwich International, arriving at 21:29 Wednesday evening.
Unfortunately we can't get an international ferry service from Harwich Port, and I believe it has no domestic services

We decide to take a leisurely early morning bus ride, so we make the eight minute walk from the railway station to the bus stop that serves the Chapel on The Street and there board the 0708 First in Norfolk and Suffolk service 64 to Aldeburgh (the bus stop opposite to Fort Green Car Park) that arrives there at 0808 on Thursday morning.

A lot of freight uses the Felixstowe Branch Line through Westerfield, so we are tempted to 'Freight-Hop' à la @fishquinn and head far west. In reality, we board the 13:46 greateranglia rail service to Ipswich, arriving there at 13:54 on Thursday afternoon.

Being somewhat pleasantly surprised that only a five minute minimum connection time applying at this station we are afforded the opportunity to board the 1455 Greater Anglia service to Reedham that arrives at 1512 on Thursday afternoon.
