We feel like a 318 bash, so we grab a pint or two and board the 2150 ScotRail service around the Cathcart Circle, arriving back into Glasgow Central at 2220 this Wednesday night.

I think moves like this are acceptable...

Shrewsbury seems to be upholding its reputation for poor bus services outside weekday business hours, so we take the four-minute walk to Shrewsbury railway station.

We board the 2056 ATW service to Crewe arriving at 2131 Thursday evening.

Delighted to find that my very own area of Cheshire East has availed itself, we leave the railway station and take a two minutes walk to the bus stop that serves the iconic railway-steeped historical edifice called the Crewe Arms on Nantwich Road and board the 2140 GHA Coaches service 38 to another well-known hostelry, Rodeheath(the Chain and Gate PH on Macclesfield Road?, that arrives there at 2217 on Thursday evening.

We have no choice at this location other than to continue on route 38 towards Macclesfield, or retrace our steps. The first bus we encounter is going back the way we came, so we jump aboard .....

Walking around the corner to the bus stop outside the Military Arms, we then board the 2355 GHA Coaches service 38 to Macclesfield (Bus Station), arriving there at 0033 in the early hours of Friday morning.

That appears to be it for the evening and our options for the morning are two at the same time, either the 130 towards Manchester or the milk train to the Potteries.

We take the walk down to the train station where we take 2K10 Northern service at 0603 as far as Kidsgrove, where we arrive at 0615 Friday morning.

We join the morning commuters on the 0638 Northern service 2H13 to Stockport, arriving there at 0715 on Friday morning.

Taking the seven minute walk to Bramhall station, we then board the 1102 Northern service 2K10 to Stoke-on-Trent, arriving there at 1137 on Friday morning.
