Quite incredibly for a Sunday, the first services of the day are operating, and we don't have too long to wait at all before we board the 0453 First Glasgow service 3 to Glasgow (Garnet Street/Sauchiehall Street), arriving there at 0512 on Sunday morning.

We take the short walk out of the station to the bus stop at Clydebank Railway Station (on Chalmers Street) and take First in Greater Glasgow Bus 60 at 2322 as far as Glasgow, before Drury Street (on Renfield Street) where we arrive at 0004 on Monday morning.

Sadly we appear to have just missed the last buses of the day on all city routes (most services having finished at around 2340) so we have no option other than to let a few hours pass before we head to Central station, where we board the 0428 Virgin Trains service 1R20 to London Euston, arriving into the heart of the capital at 0907 on Monday morning.

You do realise that I will stop at nothing to get us to Lybster?

I will!

Allowing for the minimum connection time requirements of this large railway station, we then board the 0924 LM service to Tring that arrives at 0959 on Monday morning.

We then board the 1034 Southern service 2O31 to Streatham Common, arriving there at 1146 on Monday morning.

We now double back and board the 1158 Southern service to London Victoria. However, we bail at Battersea Park, the time now being 1212 in the afternoon this Monday.

(although in real life, this train was probably cancelled)

We then board the 1855 First Essex service 65 to Colchester (Railway Station), arriving there at 1923 on Monday evening.

Let's go home.

We'll use the 1933 Arriva Colchester number 8 bus and alight at Colchester, adj Talcott Road, the time now being 1951 on Monday evening.

Do I win anything...?

I don't think we do. I've taken us to my home in Cardiff too!

Walking around the corner to Middlewick Ranges, we then board the 2020 First Essex service 68 to West Mersea (High Street), arriving there at 2049 on Monday morning.

That appears to be it for the night, so we call it a night before boarding the 0600 sxConnect (Arriva) service 133 to Stansted Airport (Coach Station), arriving there at 0750 on Tuesday morning.
