We continue from Westbourne Park on the 0212 Tower Transit service N31 to Chalk Farm Underground Station arriving at 0228 Thursday morning.

We then board the 0247 Tower Transit service N28 to Fulham Broadway (Town Hall), arriving there at 0323 in the early hours of Thursday morning.

It's only a couple of minutes walk to bus stop E on Fulham Broadway, where we catch the 0350 London General service N11 to Liverpool Street Station arriving at 0427 Thursday morning.

We decide to catch an early morning train and remembering that a 15 minute connection time applies at this large station, we make our way into the station and board the 0440 AGA service to Stansted Mountfitchet that arrives there at 0524 on Thursday morning.

We continue on the 0603 AGA train to Cambridge arriving at 0638 Thursday morning.

We then board the 0656 CrossCountry service 1N43 to Birmingham New Street, arriving there at 0938 on Thursday morning.

We decide to walk to Digbeth coach station and board the 11:00 National Express coach service to Glasgow (Buchanan Bus Station), arriving there at 17:50 on Thursday afternoon.

We walk to the nearby Queen Street railway station and descend to low-level platform 9.
Here we catch the 1808 ScotRail train, via Bathgate, to Haymarket arriving 1917 Thursday evening.

That was the final departure of the evening, so we call it a night before boarding the 0916 Abellio ScotRail service 1T98 to Glasgow Central, arriving there at 1231 on Friday morning.

In reality, if a customer wanted to get from Glasgow to Inverness direct, (s)he would wait the two hours, I have no objection to a trip to the Highlands and back, nor the 121 minute wait in Glasgow. This move was entirely within the rules of the game. Play on please chaps…

Ironically we have to call it a night now. But we can catch the 06:13 ScotRail service to Milngavie on Saturday morning - which we do, arriving at 07:18.

Thanks to transportphoto for that clarification. Of course, there's still obviously the 2 hour thing, but if a service can pass that, it should be allowed.

We then exit the station and board the 0757 (note this is only 39 minutes not two hours) First in South East and Central Scotland service B10 to Glasgow (Renfrew Street), arriving there at 0834 on Saturday morning.

We take the 10 minute walk to Glasgow Central and take Cross Country 0900 Glasgow Central to Penzance service as far as Sheffield where we arrive at 1351 on Saturday afternoon.
