For once, we thwart Paul's cunning plan to deposit us in an obscure location late at night by hurrying to catch the last train of the day ....

The 2338 Southern service to Littlehampton arriving at 0015 Thursday morning.

I am somewhat unclear as to how the rules would view a temporary rail replacement bus/coach service, as there is such a service currently running at 0227 from Littlehampton station, so I have decided not to use this as a posting submission....Instead I make the following posting.....

We take the first train service of the day and board the 0502 SN service to Hove that arrives there at 0543 on Thursday morning.

We don't take into account rail replacement buses on this thread, unless they are more permanent (so that is my understanding of the case).

Exiting the station and heading to the Livingston Road bus stop, we then board the 0612 Brighton & Hove Buses service 5B to Hollingbury (Asda/Crowhurst Road), arriving there at 0644 on Thursday morning.

It is actually a service bus run by Metrobus at 0227 and 0427, the service 320, we have used it before on the quiz from Worthing. We can either continue from Lewes Rd, or go back to Littlehampton. I'll leave it to others to decide.

A trip underground sees us onto one of the last Circle Line services. At 2354, a train rolls in and at 0016 the next morning (Friday), we alight at London Liverpool Street.

We make our way to the main railway station and being mindful of the 15 minute minimum connection time that applies at this large station, we next board the 0053 AGA service to Witham that arrives there at 0154 on Friday morning.

That train seems to be a bit earlier on a Friday than the rest of the week, but is still within the connection time at Liverpool Street, so I will continue by saying we next board the 0500 Abellio Greater Anglia service to Gidea Park, arriving at 0531 on Friday morning.

We then head back onto AGA and take the 06:33 service all the way to Norwich arriving at 08:27 on Friday morning.

Maybe now go onto the 08:36 to Great Yarmouth for some tractor thrash?
