OK let's make a start on the 1251 XC service to Edinburgh, arriving at 2212 Sunday evening

Doesn't follow, but we can allow it by changing onto that service at Taunton. Regardless...

No more flights out of Edinburgh today, so we have to wait a wee while to try out our passports as the rules of the game dictate that we can't wait until 05:30. So, we board the Citylink AIR service at 22:30, arriving into Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow at 23:26 on Sunday evening.

We arrive to see our bus to the next airport pull away, so we wander to KFC before heading back to the stances of the bus station. We board the First in Greater Glasgow 0030 No. 500 service to its terminus of Glasgow Airport. It arrives at 0056, but from there, it's a six-minute walk into the terminal. We glance at the clock in the departure hall, revealing the time to be 0102 on Monday morning.

By Glasgow Airport I mean Glasgow International - I couldn't find any train/buses running to Prestwick at this time of night

Obviously this 1251 departure does not make allowance for the fact that the previous service arrived at 1432.

I think we can work around it quite easily.

The 12:51 XC service from Liskeard additionally calls at Taunton, leaving at 14:51. If we were to change trains at Taunton, from the FGW service I took onto the Edinburgh XC service, we could continue on as we had done.

I propose we continue from the last post, which leaves us at Glasgow (Abbotsinch) International Airport at 01:02 on Monday morning.

This posting poses a most unusual matter to ponder upon.

It states that disembarkation occurred at Centre Street (no time of arrival there shown)....then a totally separate six minute walk to Bridge Street has been "tagged on" .

Can anyone be so kind as to clarify this matter and the point from where the next posting should commence from.

Sure thing mate - we alight from the bus on Centre Street at 0737 and then simply walk around the corner and down to the subway.

We should continue from Bridge Street subway station; the time being 0743 Monday morning.

It does say that you can walk up to half a mile, and it doesn't specify if you have to do so before or after your public transport move. I think we've had posts in the past that make use of walking as a final move, although perhaps not so obviously as it is here.

I'll continue from Bridge Street Subway anyway (if the walking move's not allowed, I'll do the walk) and we board the Outer Circle train at 07:47 round to Govan Interchange, where we alight at 07:56 on Monday Morning.

We resurface and head round to Helen Street, where our McGills No. F1 service is waiting. We duly board, the bus leaving at 0805 and arriving at Renfield Street 15 miutes later. It's now 0820 on Monday morning

Deciding that we'd rather make our way towards the West Highlands, we decide not to go back the way we came. It's a wee while until the next bus, so whilst we wait we pop across the road for an early lunch at the Golden Tandoori. Then we board McGills number 305 bus at 12:08 and head toward Luss. We alight at 12:27 on Monday afternoon, at the Luss Bypass on the A82 (Northbound).

Ignore - I was beaten to it, and have no time come up with a new move from Clydebank.

We wander down to Clydebank's railway station, and there's a stroke of luck as the 11:43 Scotrail service to Dalmuir is due soon. We alight at Dalmuir at 11:47 on Monday morning.

We'd prefer to visit Scotland's other main city, so climb up to the High Level platforms. Unfortunately, this makes us miss the 12:17, so we board the 13:03 Scotrail Shotts Line service to Haymarket, arriving there at 14:04.
