There's not any buses at the station, and we wander into the sleepy village of Bells Yew Green (in which Frant station is located). There is a small bus stop with a sporadic service in this quiet little village, and we're just in time for the Autocar number 256 bus, which duly arrives at 18:16. We take it pretty much back the way we came, arriving at Wadhurst Station at 18:40 on Friday evening.

We are fortunate that the holiday season is with us as there is a Saturdays-only service from Dundee to Cornwall stopping at York, so we next board the 1045 XC service to Newquay that arrives at 1838 on Saturday evening.

Where are you getting this 1917 departure from? Real Time Trains shows the next train from Newquay is at 2000 to Plymouth, which is the same XC HST we just arrived on.

Whilst making allowances for the fact that once a train/bus/coach reaches a terminal destination, any return journey using the service that so arrived is deemed on this quiz to be a NEW journey, I do concur with this posting.

That 2000 XC service only stops at:-
2056.....Par
2106.....Bodmin Parkway
2122.....Liskeard
2148.....Plymouth

Not fancying a half hour walk to the nearest bus station, we are left with no choice but to wait for the next train, the 1207 First Great Western service to Liskeard. We arrive at 1226 on this fine Sunday afternoon.
While on board the near-empty Class 150 FGW have run today, we ponder how the quizmasters are doing with the International Edition.

We just make the next connection as well, which takes us onto the 12:33 First Great Western service 1A85 towards London Paddington. We alight at Taunton at 14:32 on this fine Sunday afternoon.

And my jumbo passport has arrived, very much looking forward to getting some use out of it (hint hint )

Picking up on me123's hint, we get evercloser to this game's first flight, so we board the 2223 Lothian Buses No. 100 service to the Hilton Hotel. It's then a five-minute walk to Edinburgh International Airport. We arrive into the (overly) warm departure lounge at 2251 Sunday night.
And don't skimp - Ryanair is an awful airline and I wouldn't touch them with a mile-long bargepole
