That service doesn't call at Shepherds Well; at 1644 it calls at Margate.

It turns out it was a service which splits en route, except Real Time Trains didn't state this. Silly buggers.

Unfortunately, we are in the time period of the year that certain timetabled services do not run, so we just wait for the 1856 Stagecoach in South Wales service 39B to Brecon Interchange that arrives there at 1921 on Tuesday evening.
Again the one possible bus out has just ceased operations until the Chrismas hols, so we find overnight accommodation and take the 0631 bus out next morning. It's service T4, run by Stagecoach South Wales, and takes us to Llandrindod Wells station, arriving at 0727 on Wednesday morning

This is quite a historical market town, but the frequency of the bus service is unfortunately what you might expect in such a rural area, so deciding to get the first bus that comes, we note that it allows time for a hearty mid-day meal to sustain us, so returning to the bus stop in the square, we next board the 1400 Lewis's Coaches service 585 to Lledrod (Post Office) that arrives there at 1437 on Wednesday afternoon.
