Earlier in the Quiz, after repeatedly just being beaten to postings, Paul Sidorczuk proposed a system of 'reserving' a space, to make sure that one didn't spend half an hour researching an ingenious hop on a once a month bus service, only to find one had been foiled by a quicker poster.

It seems to me that this is what dzug2 has done.

I would think that this is ok, although perhaps best to say more explicitly what you are up to?

It seems to me that this is what dzug2 has done.

It's a good idea but there was nothing to say this on dzug2's post, so in effect he has hidden a post, followed by me proceeding after the previous post before his, only for him to reinstate it FIVE minutes after his pause.

This can be avoided anyway if we just double check our posts first.

Purely on the basis that my posting appeared first (at 20.05), whereas dzug2's didn't appear until being edited at 20.06, I would say mine was valid and that we should continue from Brighton, but if anyone objects I'm happy to stand down.

For future reference, to avoid such situations like the one we've just had, when editing a post on this game it may be wise to copy and paste your move and refresh the page to see if any new posts have appeared since. That way, if it has you can make a new move, but if not you can carry on as normal. When editing as much as five minutes later on a post there is a good possibility that soneone else may have posted in the meantime, which is what happened with me. But at the same time overriding of posts can't happen either.
