Making our way into the bus station area of "The Vatican of the North", so called because its domed edifice, we next board the 2030 Arriva North West service 18 to Hale Barns (All Saints church on Hale Road) that arrives there at 2147 on Sunday evening.

The Trafford Centre is just absolutely spectacular. I love it!

That reminds me actually, I'm doing my dissertation on travel and retail there, so I need to conduct some research soon!

We then wait for a returning Arriva North West service 18 at 2206 which we catch and alight at Manchester Airport The Station at 2218 on Sunday evening.

On the last few occasions we've been to Manchester Airport, we always seem to continue on the 43 service, so let's mix things up a little by boarding a different bus, in the form of the 2319 Stagecoach Manchester service 105 to Chorlton (Princess Road/Barlow Moor Road), arriving there at 2357 on Sunday evening.

I cant find another night bus within the parameters of this game so we will have to bed down for the night and return to the stop for the 05:42 Stagecoach Manchester service 101 and get off at Withington Metrolink tram stop where we arrive at 05:43 on Monday morning.

A nice long trip on the Manchester Metrolink now awaits us, as we board the 0557 Manchester Metrolink service to the terminus, Rochdale Town Centre stop, that arrives there at 0712 on Monday morning.

We then board the 0717 Metrolink service to South Chadderton, arriving there at 0750 on Monday morning.

After a walk through the park to we get to White Gate (Chadderton), Coalshaw Green Rd/Lancaster Street in time to catch First's No 81 to Derker at 0803 getting off some minutes later at Hollinwood Ave/Moston Rail Station at 0813 (StopM) Monday morning.

We then board the 0835 First Manchester service 81 to Derker (Wordsworth Avenue), arriving there at 0913 on Monday morning.

We trace our way on the walk to the Derker Metrolink stop where we board the 0929 Manchester Metrolink service to Newbold Metrolink stop that arrives there at 0940 on Monday morning.

We then board the 0949 Metrolink service to Firswood (Metrolink Station), arriving there exactly an hour later at 1049 on Monday morning.

We then exit the station and head to Station Street, directly northwards outside, where we board the 1616 Nottingham Express Transit (NET) service 1 to Phoenix Park (Tram Stop), arriving there at 1644 on Monday afternoon.

We then take the 16:50 NET tram to Royal Central arriving at 17:08 on Monday evening.

We then walk around the corner to the Elite on Upper Parliament Street and board the 1722 Trent Barton service Rainbow 1 to Eastwood (Alexander Street), arriving there at 1800 on Monday evening.

After a look round the market place we get on another shiny new R1 Optare, the 18.57 service as far as Nottingham Victoria Bus Station arriving at 20.00 on Monday evening

We then take the 2020 Trent Barton Red Arrow service to Derby (Bus Station), arriving there at 2050 on Monday evening.

We then get the 21.35 9.1 service from Corporation Street to Mansfield (Bus Station) arriving at 22.58 on Monday evening

Since the cafe on platform 2 is not open yet, we get back on the train which now forms 2L57, the 06.56 service which we get as far as Hucknall, arriving at 07.48 on Tuesday morning

We walk to the Broadmarsh Bus station and catch the 08.45 indigo service to Beeston (Bus Station) arriving at 09.12 on Tuesday morning

Wikipedia also lists it as Line 1, as I believe there is a proposed Line 2 scheduled to run to Clifton.

We decide to move away from the East Midlands now, having explored some new areas, and head across to the railway station, where we board 1B31, the 1011 East Midlands Trains service to St Pancras International, arriving there at 1154 on Tuesday morning.

It'll probably be because it's a field which needs to be filled. Trams will run through from current line 1 Hucknall/Phœnix Park to new line 2 Toton/Clifton - so by this logic it could be service 1 or 2!

From St Pancras we walk to Kings Cross and unfortunately narrowly miss the Highland Chieftain. We therefore catch the 1N17 12:30 East Coast service to York arriving at 14.31 on Tuesday afternoon

We then take the 14:40 TPE service to Malton arriving at 15:03 on Tuesday afternoon.
