We then walk to Newport railway station and take the 08:08 service to Reading getting there at 19:26 on Wednesday evening. (If allowed could we make it get to Reading at 21:37 due to someone being hit by a train between Didcot Parkway and Reading). Could you please tell me if this is allowed?

Unfortunately it isn't allowed and we must go on the normal timetable, not taking into account any engineering works and/or disruption.

Also, you say 0808 from Newport. Do you mean the 1809 to London, which gets into Reading for 1926?

This takes me back to the original quiz where one member with a most creative mind tried to produce scenarios of the most amazing kind of the "what if" variety....all of which, of course, were ruled invalid.

--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Gameplay...In your post you should clearly state the time your service departs, the company who's service you are using and the time and day of arrival at your chosen destination.

I have highlighted another matter in this extract from the quiz rules to add to the first query raised regarding the time of departure.

Cool stuff.

You may need to edit your departure time to 1809 as opposed to 0809 too :)

This is the FIRST of the incorrectly day-stated posting that followed on from a posting that saw an arrival time on from the Thursday of the previous week.

The quiz day of the week is ..... T H U R S D A Y.

Yep, but not on a 158.
We all throw up and go to the Thetford Tesco Express to get some pain killers before walking back to the station and catching the 14:52 GA service to Norwich getting there at 15:28 on Friday afternoon.
