Heading to the big city, we next board the 2028 XC service to Birmingham New Street that arrives there at 2123 on Monday evening.

We scream and throw up after getting off the voyager and walk to Birmingham Moor Street before catching the 22:15 CR service to Leamington Spa getting there at 23:00 on Monday Evening.
(Maybe visit the nice village of Long Itchington tomorrow on the 64 bus).

Still a rail service available, so we board the 2339 Chiltern service to Oxford that arrives there at 0022 on Tuesday morning.

If that move by Fishquinn is not allowed due to using the same train back the same way we have just come, is it permissible to join First Great Western's 0027 service to London Paddington arriving 0204 on a Tuesday morning.

Rules

[*]You should use the first available service to reach your destination after allowing for the minimum interchange time.

This two-part extract from the rules may help to assist the impasse that has just occurred. If a journey is made to a station, such as Bolton to a terminal station of Blackpool North, there is no reason why a return journey cannot be made, as this is a different journey.

I think the matter where the problem will occur is when the journey above (for example) from Bolton is made to Preston, then the next contestant uses the same service onwards from Preston to Blackpool North.

Not sure what was wrong with Fishquinn's move back to Banbury- sure enough it's the same physical train but it's a different service. In fact at many stations you are not going to know where the physical train operating your outward service came from - eg HST diagrams at Paddington are complex and fluid anyway.

Paddington has a 15 minute MCT - does that apply to busses?

I'd say we are still at Banbury at 0111 waiting a legal move

We then grab a quick bite to eat before making the short walk to Carmarthen bus station, we where board the 1500 First South and West Wales service X11 to Swansea (Bus Station), arriving there at 1637 on Tuesday afternoon.
