Definitely now feel obliged to take the 0058 Caledonian Sleeper to Inverness arriving there at 0839 on Saturday morning.

Enjoying the fresh Scocttish air after a decent night's sleep, we now change onto the 08:55 ScotRail service 2H81 to Garve, arriving at 09:51 Saturday morning.

We then board the 1155 Abellio ScotRail service 2H83 to Achnashellach, arriving there at 1239 on Saturday afternoon.

The only bus here isn't for a few hours, so instead we return on the 13:01 ScotRail service 2H82 to Achnasheen, arriving at 13:20 Saturday afternoon.

Not a lot we can do here as the buses are only every 90 minutes in the evening, and go only in one direction as the 33C has finished for the evening, so we will have to wait for the 2308 Stagecoach North Scotland service 33A back to Elgin (St Andrews Road), arriving there at 2316 on Saturday evening.

That's basically it for the night beyond the odd service back to Elgin bus station, so we take the night here before walking up to the A96 for the 09:41 Stagecoach North Scotland service 10 to Huntly, at The Square, arriving at 10:39 Sunday morning.

Next, we walk to the nerarby (0.4 miles) Jamieson's Quay before checking in at the NorthLink Ferries terminal. At 17:00, the MV Hrossey departs Aberdeen, we check into our cabins, enjoy our fish and chips, watch a film in the cinema onboard, and then bed down for the night before we arrive at Lerwick (Holmsgarth Ferry Terminal) at 07:30 on Monday morning. Welcome to Shetland .

As I play on my phone, by the time I've researched timetables it's too late. So I'm going to leave it for a few days

Sorry to hear it. We certainly won't be here for two weeks - it's an absurd prediction to make considering we've only just come here, and it is very rare for us to come to these places, after all. This is only the second time we've been to Shetland on this game, it's hardly a frequent occurrence, and didn't exactly spend a fortnight here the first time.

And, after all, this is how some of us like to play the game - visiting far-flung areas, scouring timetables, and ticking off new places - as I find it the most interesting. We've been to Manchester and Cardiff plenty of times, after all, and not everyone finds travelling around urban areas so interesting.

Sorry to be so blunt, but I find this kind of reaction grates on me a bit.

It'll be fine so long as we keep things moving, because we do have options, even here.
