That appears to be it for the rest of the night now, so we board the 0529 Northern service 2S11 to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, arriving there at 0712 on Monday morning.

From the bus stop right next to the tram stop (possibly one of the most direct interchanges possible; literally hop off and hop on), we then board the 0820 Blackpool Transport service 14 to Layton (Aspire Academy), arriving there at 0900 on Monday morning.

I had hoped that services still ran northwards from Knott End on Sea when I made my last posting, hoping that another area could be visited. Admittedly, it is some time since Patricia and I took the bus from Lancaster to Knott End on Sea, via Glasson Dock.

The bus to Lancaster wasn't for quite some time after our arrival in Knott End.

We have a bit of time to wait, but do find another onward journey as we join the 22:21 First in Greater Manchester 59 bus to Oldham Central Bus Station, arriving 22:40 on Monday evening.

That is it for the rest of the day, so the next morning we board the 0510 First Manchester service 83 to Failsworth (Broadway), arriving there at 0545 on Tuesday morning.

Are we at the Hollins Row bus stop? That's the only stop at 0655 on the 184. Can't seem to find the Star Hotel anywhere. I also can't find a church in Failsworth. At 0553 that service stops at Houghton Avenue in Hollinwood?

Assuming the former, we then board the 0712 First Halifax, Calder Valley and Huddersfield service 185 to Huddersfield (Bus Station), arriving there at 0736 on Tuesday morning.

INFORMATION
1).....All the stop and time information above was given by a TfGM official to me when I telephoned.
2)....The last published TfGM 180/184/X84 timetable shows the Star Hotel in Slaithwaite as a timing stage shown in-between Marsden, Peel Street and Cowersley

Let's take the 8:08 Northern service to Sheffield, arriving at 09:28 Tuesday morning.

I'm not sure if TfGM is the most reliable of sources.

From Sheffield Station, we then head to the tram stop and board the 0943 Supertram Blue line service to Donetsk Way, arriving there at 1006 on Tuesday morning.

Heaven help all those in the Greater Manchester area if that be the case, as TfGM are the powerful area organisation who are deeply involved not only in basic public transport provision of all types but now have an extended remit covering other matters.

It would appear that I am indeed fortunate to reside exterior to "The Land of the TfGM Empire"
