There seems to be nothing moving on Tuesday evening and the station is way out of town in Thornton, so we take the Stagecoach in Fife 0425 departure and travel to Dunfermline Bus Station, arriving at 0457 Wednesday morning

We then board the 0530 Stagecoach Fife service 55 to Edinburgh (Princes Street), arriving there at 0625 on Wednesday morning.

Just enough time to walk to the bus stop on Hutton Road outside the railway station and board the 1756 First in Essex service 9A to Brentwood (Knights Way) that arrives there at 1807 on Wednesday evening.

Not much we can do here other than to hop back on the 9 which is the only bus serving this area, so we board the 1818 First Essex service 9 to Basildon (Bus Station), arriving there at 1915 on Wednesday evening.

We next board the 1930 First Essex service 5 to Whitmore Way, Grimston Road, arriving at 1938 on Wednesday evening.

Also an area I'm familiar with, my Dad lives around Basildon.

We take the two minute walk to the The Hatherley bus stop and board the 2023 First in Essex service 25 to Shotgate (Post Office on Southend Road) that arrives there at 2051 on Wednesday evening.

That's it now for the rest of the day (seems very early!), so we call it a night before boarding the 0539 First Essex service 25 to Southend (Civic Centre), arriving there at 0623 on Thursday morning.

We change to an Arriva South East 7 service at 06:30, which takes us to Rayleigh Railway Station. We arrive at 07:12 on Thursday morning.

We next board from outside the station the 0808 GoAhead London service 108 all the way to its terminus at Lewisham Molesworth Street, arriving exactly an hour later at 0908 on Thursday morning.

A 0.3 mile walk brings us to Lewisham station. Here we board a DLR train at 0926 to Shadwell arriving at 0950 Thursday morning.

Deciding to see more of this mode of transit, we board the 1000 DLR service to Beckton DLR station that arrives there at 1025 on Thursday morning.

At the adjacent Beckton Bus Station, we board Dockland Buses service 474 at 1042, alighting at London City Airport at 1112 Thursday morning.

Time for some High-Speed action (in contrast to the DLR), we board the 1202 Southeastern train to Sittingbourne, arriving 1251 Thursday afternoon.

Desirous of the wonderment that is a stopping service, we next board the 1431 SE service to Meopham that arrives there at 1547 on Thursday afternoon

Exiting the station and heading to the bus stop on Station Road, we then board the 1655 Arriva Kent Thameside (which I'm guessing is some sort of branch of Arriva South East) service 308 to Sevenoaks (Bus Station), arriving there at 1748 on Thursday afternoon.

We next board the 1804 Go-Coach route 404 to Edenbridge, Post Office, arriving at 1840 on Thursday evening.

Unfortunately the station is too far away at 0.7 miles, so we have no option but to find a place to stay before being out at the bus stop to see a Southdown bus arrive to form the 0631 Southdown route 509 service which we take as far as Godstone Green, arriving at 0650 on Friday morning.
