We exit the station and take the four minute walk to St Chads Church, where we board the 2230 Blackpool Transport service 2 to Normoss (Newton Drive East), arriving there at 2239 on Tuesday evening.

As it looks like nothing is running and all stations are more than 0.5 miles from where we are, we'll take the overnight here and board the Transpora North West service across the road at Grange Park by Normoss Avenue heading to Fleetwood Bold Street at 0803 on Wednesday morning, arrival at Fleetwood 0908

We're just too far away from the station, so we walk around the corner to Highfield Shops and there board the 1841 Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire service 5 to Heysham (Towers), arriving there at 1925 on Wednesday evening.

  • The playing area includes only mainland Great Britain. This includes any landmass connected to Great Britain by bridge or tunnel (excluding the Channel Tunnel). Domestic ferry services to outlying islands, such as the Isle of Wight and the Scottish Islands are also acceptable (with due regards to the note in the etiquette post below).
The above extract from the quiz rules shows that travel to and from the Isle of Man is not allowed on this quiz.

Question - "Domestic ferry services to outlying islands, such as the Isle of Wight and the Scottish Islands are also acceptable" - is there a reason why, for example Orkney or Shetland would be OK, which are much more remote, where the IoM isn't ?

Because Orkney and Shetland are archipelagos of Scotland, which in turn is part of Great Britain. The Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown Dependency.
