According to the attached, there is no service from Clacton that does not offically stop at Thorpe-le-Soken and so the leg ended with the posting of Clacton. Accordingly, my starting point of Girvan is valid.

10. Once a leg has been completed and the first post of a new leg started, the previous leg cannot be edited in any circumstances.

I now call a halt as rule 10 above of the quiz rules needs to be looked into with regard the matter of contention that has been raised.

No further postings should be made upon this quiz until a final and binding adjudication has been reached, which at that point notice should be posted on this thread as to which postings, if any, should be struck-through.

Based on the timetable I attached, the postings after Clacton from Colchester to Harold Wood should be struck through. Can all players who posted (Clagmonster, DasLunatic, backontrack and Paul) ensure that this is done please as these moves do not constitute a valid leg.

Thank you.

Surely the fact that two of the three senior judges played along means that they were fine with the game continuing this way?

There are three of us and as such, I was away for the majority as last evening so was unable to intercede earlier, but it was I who made the call for the game to be halted in that capacity that I hold on this quiz.

I am not a novice in such matters, noting that of the 76,065 postings made on this quiz so far, I have made 19,292 of these.

... and there's an early morning express straight to Colchester from Clacton... headcode 1N69.

Just to add to Buttsy's adjudication, I have just searched throough a sample of dates on Realtime trains, when a normal service is scheduled to run, and can see no train 1N69 at either Clacton or Colchester. I have struck through my posts in the dud leg.
