Well i PM'd the quiz masters and OxtedL said i should try it, at no point during my queries which were also handled by TransportPhoto did they say it wasn't allowed.

Yes sorry, it does have to actually have to be rail based and the connecting ferry can't be used even though a ticket would be valid. If the Isle of Wight is allowed then, this will be a very short game.

What fails to call at Smallbrook Junction?

It's not got a regular service as the only trains that stop there are ones to connect with IOW steam railway when running, which does not run every day or every week. I've had a similar discussion regarding Bordesley and the football specials run on matchdays.

Also, table 167 shows a number not stopping there currently: 06:18 & 06:38 from Shanklin for example.

Should Smallbrook be used as the next move, I will ask for an adjucation.

Smallbrook Junction has as limited service that does not run daily or weekly but is solely dependent on the IOW Steam Railway running. I believe this to be similar, if not the same, as the southbound calls at Bordesley which have been ruled as invalid.

I'm glad everyone has noticed that this is an apparently legal^ (although short) round.

Clearly either we have everything stopping at Smallbrook Junction, or everything not stopping. We have precedent on the Isle of Wight that it appears to count (special rules maybe ...), so to get things moving again, I suggest:

Early morning/late evening trains do not stop whatever time of year, so, in my view, either Trainfan's move to Smallbrook Junction is valid & therefore he wins, or it is not and my Ryde St Johns Road is the valid move, hence my request for adjucation.

I would be interested to know which posting shows the precedent you refer to as then I'll gladly shut up.

I would disagree, not just because I spent far more time with explanations and postings from the rules than some legs worth well over 100 points to the leg winner, which included the fact that Shanklin, originally given as a starting station but then subsequently edited to Lake as it was pointed ot that Shanklin is in fact a terminal station and not as such allowed under the rules (and done so without the accepted "striking-through" and reposting demanded by the rules), which then caused the following postings then to appear:-

In an attempt to get things moving quickly again I made a post which is clearly intended to replace everything from 34540 onwards. I believe this is very obvious from the context, but I apologise for not being clearer - I'd forgotten how finicky some people sometimes are!

I have struck though my Ryde St Johns Road on 34540.

My apologies for being pedantic, unfortunately I take my job home at times and when you work in financial services compliance, that is not always a good thing.
