Clue 3:
This station has precisely 8 platforms, of which 1 is not regularly used by passenger services.

I suppose one of the Dumfries bays is considerably rarer than the other, so it fits.

Clue 4:
This station is served by loco hauled services.

Dore & Totley (formerly Dore) is correct - give the man a medal !

Served by Northern, EMT and TPE (the latter two peaks only)

Clues 4 & 5 would have been

4. this station is served more frequently on Saturdays than weekdays
5. this station has one platform - but formerly had 4
