I may have quoted the wrong clue about Norwich - I meant the one about no direct service to the closest station servced by Gtr. Anglia.

Virgin, CrossCountry, East Coast and TransPennine Express services all depart from Glasgow Central, heading south from High Level. ScotRail are the only TOC to serve Glasgow Queen Street.

Correct; I believe they operate just a single Nottingham-Sheffield service via Derby, with no corresponding southbound working.

I discarded Derby last time round because I had it in my head there was an early morning EMT service to Norwich. It seems this is no longer the case.

I don't know my units well enough, that's why I went for it, as I didn't know what runs there. It wasn't a very helpful clue unless you know the minutae of units.
