The tricks here were (a) the services to London and (b) hub status. Exeter St David's is a hub station, but it is far small than those you've listed, whereas Leicester probably isn't! (I won't deduct points for LEI though.)

The answer I sought was Lincoln!

I suspect we must be on the Sutton loop (everyhting out of St. Pancras and Kings Cross other the FCC is fast until outside of the Travelcard area, the BML stations are managed by Southern. I don't know about the brick viaduct, but I'll try Sutton Common.
