That has reminded me that I have some negatives of one of the tours (it was so popular they ran it on two consecutive weekends) and didn't realise its historic significance. I've had these negatives since about four years after the tour but this is the first time one of them has seen a scanner. Sadly, not a view of the train from the driving trailer end and, although there are plenty of photographs of the tour on Flickr it seems not many people took such a view. The non-driving coach is M17924M which is a standard LMS composite suburban coach. Even in 1966 it still doesn't feature a yellow stripe over the First Class section.
