This is one for the guards out there. We all work a train that we could call the Jeremy Kyle Express.

A couple of lads I know are bus drivers and they used to drive what they called The Hollyoaks Runs the 8am Go North East 65 to Durham and the 3pm service that included picking up at Hetton School...
I used to call it the Future of Jeremy Kyle
Having done the line to Digby in the light for the first time the other week, with that I can agree. I wasn't actually aware that this bit existed, until I saw it the other day. The couple sat next to me weren't the most intelligent of folks.
Also mis-timed my trip and ended up coming back when the schools in Digby were finishing for the day, loads of 11 year olds on the train back. Asked a couple to get back from the platform edge, as they were doing stupid balance games right on the edge just a minute before the pacer was due
The area immediately around Polsloe Bridge isn't too bad TBH. It's mostly Student hovels between there and the city. Some of the roads around St Thomas are Kyle territory as is Exwick, Beacon Heath and the area around Rifford Road (I have family on that road, they are prime Kyle candidates)

Butts road is OK, my friends live just off it. It's near enough to Rifford Road to be cheap but far enough away not to suffer the chavs
Never given much thought about anything else more than that, but yes, I know which bit of the city you're on about.Truro-Penzance is also pretty rough.
Out of Man Picc
