True, ive 'met' a few characters on the one of the later Glasgow - Edinburgh via shotts services, even got offered a free can of tenants. nice :roll:

Between Glasgow and Shotts it can be interesting, mostly involving folks getting on/off at Cleland or Carfin.
And not just late ones. I used to get the 2:15 departure from Glasgow on a Saturday afternoon and experienced:
4 people being arrested for fighting
1 worthy smash the little box remove the hammer and use it to break a seat
Harangued all the way to Cleland or Carfin - forget which - by a drunken Rangers supporter who was determined to find out which team I supported.
Delayed at Holytown for the police and ambulance to "assist" a comatose and unresponsive drunk (yes it was booze he stunk up the whole carriage) who fell asleep beside a somewhat distressed lassie - preventing her leaving at the station.
I stopped using it a few years back
