Hadn't notices the blue glow of the interior before is that camera artefact or does the glazing and /or lighting have a blue tint?

The beginning of the end.
Of any sort of relative comfort. I'll reserve total judgement until I've experienced one but it doesn't look good at all. It doesn't help that I'm one of the poor saps who spends two hours on Thameslink on a half regular basis to travel between Harpenden & Brighton. Perfectly reasonable at the moment with 377s and even 387s are bearable with their arm rests and tables but these 700s...The end of what?
Been able to watch TV on my tablet and work on my laptop as there are no flip tables. The end of what?

That is all that is missing, although 387 have sockets which is good, WiFi would be nice.Thankfully that may be about to change, if rumours are anything to go by. class377/5 may know more.

Night two testing
5X80 22+43 Three Bridges TL Up depot to Blackfriars
5X81 00+44 Blackfriars to Three Bridges
5X82 01+56 Three Bridges to Blackfriars
5X83 03+08 Blackfriars to Three Bridges TL Up depot
Did the testing go ok, no problems?
Was it someone from Siemens driving, route conducted by a Thameslink driver?
It couldn't be someone from Siemens. Has to be a main line qualified driver at the controls.
Will they now do extensive testing thoughout 3rd-rail land, or will a trip to the AC be a priority?
(as an aside, are the new tunnels now being used to transfer TL stock to Hornsey or are they still going by a more convoluted route?
Canal Tunnels are for TL stock transfers from mid 2016 (ie when depot opens) ahead of passenger services over them in May 2018.
First night saw testing at line speed so once the units are on AC they will be able to travel at full speed permitted.
are they 110 mph on the OH?
100mph as currently that's all the MML is for electrics.
The new tunnels aren't open yet, and neither is the new Hornsey depot for that matter.
Though they'll be running on the GN on 125mph sections

Current TL stock (319s, 377s, 387s) goes to the existing Horsney depot for some work. It currently has to go by a convoluted route (though I'm not sure the full details of this)
Are these runners tonight (26/11/15) does anyone know?
