I can also imagine them not giving refunds because the tickets available on sale were often cheaper than non-sale standard tickets. Its also worrying that TFW have recently had a First Class ticket sale with tickets up to half price. Not great customer service if lots are subbed for units on the day and customers have to apply for refunds.
Traction motor fault on 67017 today seems to be the cause. The locos really going through another dismal patch.
HD07 is swapping to w59/v50.

Morning
Thank you
Will 1W96 tonight be loco or DVT leading from Chester to Holyhead please ?
Thank you
Dave
HD06 still currently on 1W57 as of now, on RTT, which is a bit concerning.1V91 looks to be stuck at Abergavenny for some reason.
Is there a chance they might swap HD05 (or possibly HD03) onto 1W57 as that one made it to Cardiff?
1W57 is now at Platform 0 at CDF (early), which suggests (fingers crossed) they might be using HD07 on it, off 1V33.HD06 still currently on 1W57 as of now, on RTT, which is a bit concerning.
Station announcements at NWP have only just made the announcement about this.07.30 off Manchester
1V35 unit is showing as held for
Safety inspection of track.
1V92 Cancelled at Hereford
If it's on Plat. 0 it'll be a unit, the platform isn't big enough for a MK4 set.1W57 is now at Platform 0 at CDF (early), which suggests (fingers crossed) they might be using HD07 on it, off 1V33.

An embarrassing few days for the fleet with 3 line blocking failures in 3 days, All down to loco issues.
Theres still planned 4 diagrams tomorrow but using an ever decreasing pool of working locos. 020, the first failure is tjough back on a set.
Tomorrows status is currently:
HD01+67020 planned diagram 1V31 start
HD02 At Worksop
HD03+67025 planned diagram starting 1W13
HD04+67010 planned diagram starting 1V91. Stops after the weekend to start the next round of heavy exams.
HD05+67029 Stopped until Sunday for exam
HD06+67008 planned on diagram starting 1V33
HD07+67015+67012 taken to Crewe ETD in disgrace. Will head to ATC at some point tomorrow, likely with 67012 but could be a different loco
It does appear that the oil leak was a consequence of a more serious engine failure rather than the causeReported elsewhere that 67015
Is in a bad way after yesterdays failure
Piston / Con rod through the block !

Looks like Swanssa has well and truly been forgotten about even on a Sunday now!I've just noticed that there is no MK4s to Swansea on Sunday's from now until the 21st of September, I see the schedules have been moved around a bit but why is that? (If anyone knows, of course!)
The entire Sunday timetable on the mainline has been thrown around randomly. I've noticed that the Milford Haven and Manchester stops at Pontyclun, Llanharan and Pencoed at some hours have been removed too. Services have been completely retimed aswell. Not actually sure why!Looks like Swanssa has well and truly been forgotten about even on a Sunday now!
It looks like the Swansea service that used to be MK4 (1032?) Starts at Milford so that could.be whyThe entire Sunday timetable on the mainline has been thrown around randomly.
