Its a Summer Sunday timetable with additionals on quite a few of the branches and aldo the Heart of Wales which affects things.
Next week will be different again as the current 0930 from Manchester Mk4 extends to Milford Haven so will be 197s. Not too sure in the diagram for next Sunday.
Its good to see some extra services for the West Wales Branch Lines and in particular the Heart of Wales. Seems odd its different timetable next week and also not covering the entire Summer timetable.

Technically is a door fault but on the loco. The engine room door won't remain closed making it undrivable from that end with the excessive noise.
Canton will now end up with 3 sets tonight unless HD01can be returned to Crewe somehow.
These locomotives really aren't having a good week...

HD01 is now taking on 1W63 1600 Milford Haven to Manchester from Cardiff onwards*

Tomorrow now sees HD01 on 1V33 start, HD03 on 1V91 start, HD04 on 1V31 start, HD05 on A exam, HD06 on 1W13 start and HD07 spare.
My confidence remains high in the sets, but was completely shattered by the locomotives this week. Fingers crossed for Thursday :s

Is it correct that its £12 to upgrade to First at weekends? I have a journey to Liverpool in October (changing at Crewe) but havent booked trains yet but if its MK4 I may well upgrade if its cheap to do so. Also is it correct there is no chef on weekends and it is just hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks available? So a customer host but no chef.

If i am going on a MK4 ideally id rather upgrade. If i did end up just doing standard class id rather be on a 197 than a MK4 to be honest.

There are some chefs on Saturdays it’s just not as guaranteed as the week and it doesn’t seem to be as set in stone unfortunately. From experience 1W13/1V39 is a good bet for a chef on a weekend however, if you’re out in the morning. Sundays is a definite no for a chef however.

As far as I’m aware weekend upgrades are currently a tenner, regardless of distance travelled.

Thank you. Might as well upgrade if its that cheap. It would most likely be that one i would use (the early Swansea MK4). Would be a nice bonus if the breakfast menu was also available.

Yet another loco issue. Fortunately back on the move into Canton after some resets without blocking the line. Appears to be fuel injection problems.
I see 197102 is now allocated to this service however it hasnt left Swansea yet according to RTT. Im assuming it will start at Cardiff as there wouldnt be the time or a path to get it over to Swansea.

Does the additional train procurement announced recently include replacements for the class 67/ Mk4s?

67012+HD07 now down to do tonights Holyhead.
67022 should head to Canton later to collect 67008, it will then return it to Crewe tomorrow then head back afterwards to go onto HD06.
HD04 stops tonight for B exam but HD05 returns to replace it.

Should be DVT leading from Chester.
@sd0733

Thank you

Dave
